Why this one
Tonight you need a drink that asks nothing of you. The ice melts slowly, the bubbles rise on their own, and you just hold the glass and breathe.
Tools
- Long spoon · No? Use Chopstick
- Highball glass
Ingredients
- 30 mlLondon dry gin
- to topTonic wateror use Soda water
- 1 sliceLemon wheel
Method
Fill the highball glass with ice to the rim.
Ice should stack to the top so the drink stays cold.
Pour 30 ml London dry gin over the ice.
Top with tonic water to the brim.
Tilt the glass and pour down the inside wall to keep the carbonation.
Dip the long spoon in, lift and lower once to marry the liquids.
Do not stir hard or long; you will flatten the bubbles.
Add the lemon wheel.
Squeeze it over the drink first to release the oils, then drop it in.
